Keep track of company assets with RFID

RFID helps bakers, brewers, bottlers and others

There are a lot of deliveries in the food service business. Every morning, trucks bring kegs of beer, crates of wine, racks of sodas and soft drinks, trays of bread rolls and buns, and more to eating establishments all over the world.

But the bakers, brewers and bottlers who deliver those things to restaurants and snack shops only sell the contents, not the carriers. In fact, once the kegs are empty, once the soda cans have been removed from their racks, once the bread has been taken from its trays, then the suppliers need to get those empty kegs, racks and trays back, so they can use them again.

These items are known as “returnable assets,” and RFID can help keep track of them.

Indeed, more and more businesses in this sector are using RFID so they can know where their assets are, at any moment in time. This allows them to save time and money.
