Santa’s efficiency goes up thanks to RFID

In 2008, we’ve been reporting on the effects on the use of RFID in the supply chain which could otherwise slip unnoticed thanks to an improved shopping experience and happy customers. However this Christmas, there is one person that has been made incredibly happy and would like to spread some of his Christmas Cheer.

Santa has issued a statement thanking all those who have increased their efforts with RFID stating that it has taken years off him and Mrs. Claus in terms of job related stress. Mrs. Claus is happy that her husband is under less pressure and has agreed to take time out of his busy schedule for a well earned break in a health spa thanks to generous cost savings.

The Christmas wish list is working smoother than ever with RFID functioning behind the scenes allowing the elves for the first time to kick off their clogs when they would normally be getting them re-heeled.  Little children have also been reported to be writing thank you letters for the first time to Santa in appreciation of sending their ideal gift choice as opposed to no 2 or 3 down the list.

Reindeer flight paths have been uninterrupted as air traffic goes smoothly thanks to RFID assisted check-ins at airports. Finally, in stores mother’s have also been delighted with fresh food stocks being instantly replenished and speedy check out for those last minute Jamie Oliver inspired purchases.

Santa confirms that many happy experiences are taking place with the use of RFID in the supply chain increasing levels of satisfactions for all.
