Making the world a little better with RFID

Trash and Recycling

According to 2009 data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the average American produces about 1,600 pounds (726 kg) of waste per year. In 2010, the European Union's Eurostat office announced that Europeans generate about 980 pounds (445 kg) of waste per person per year.

A great deal of this waste is packaging waste: cartons, containers, cans and other forms of protecting and transporting goods and food. RFID can help waste management companies sort and dispose of this sort of packaging waste.
